aka Durrr!

Also, hi! *waves* World of Warcraft sucked me away from the underwhelming anime series for awhile. I'm also only watching 2 series currently, OP and Durarara.

Ryuugamine Mikado is a boy who longs for the exciting life of the big city. At the invitation of his childhood friend Masaomi, he transfers to a school in Ikebukuro. Masaomi has warned him about people he doesn't want to cross in the city: a champion fighter, an informant, and a mysterious gang called "Dollars." Nervous from Masaomi's stories, Mikado witnesses an urban legend on his first day in the city, the Headless Rider astride a black motorcycle. From then on, the existence of supernatural cases and a gang called the Yellow Turbans will rise to the surface, and Ikebukuro will pushed to the breaking point.

In terms of description, that is fairly accurate, but it doesn't quite convey the sheer energy of the series. For one thing, the second episode basically was a retread of the first, but with more detail on the secondary plot introduced in the first episode and from a different viewpoint as a result.

In a way, you can tell the director was also the director to Baccano, but in a way, stating that explains a lot of the series as well. The character designer also worked on Baccano, but the original designer is the same person who created Yozakura Quartet, and it shows. The series is smooth and pleasant to watch. I also love how they did give a voice to the Headless Rider, even though it was definitely used as a helper to prevent tediousness.

So far, there are only 6 episodes out of the series and I've only seen 3, but I would definitely say to give it a watch and see what you think.

I'm not actually watching anything other than Railgun currently, how sad is that?

I might check this out, out of curiosity...

If you haven't yet checked this out, do so. After 10 episodes, I can say I still honestly am not 100% certain of the plot line, but I am thoroughly hooked on the series. The episodes almost seem to be handled in blocks, but nothing as obvious as Darker Than Black. Instead, we'll get an event happen one episode and see the next one or multiple episodes show it from various characters' perspectives. Its an awesome way to handle giving back story and motivation for each character too. Its also an awesome way to do a fair amount of foreshadowing, which the writers are taking full advantage of.

Also... cliffhanger on episode 10 and boy does it appear to be a doozy (and man, I hate when an episode ends mid-sentence).

I love this show!!!!
It reminds me of those crazy dramas with Tomoya Nagase in them.
The interlocking storylines and the characters is just fun. There are so many
special moments in every episode and I enjoy the narration. I'm not watching anything
at all right now except for this.

The secret doctrine of URA Yagyu (Yagyu Spy) states:

"Once engaged in battle, fight to win. That is the first and cardinal rule of battle. Suppress all human emotions and compassion. Kill whoever stands in your way, even if that be God or Buddha. Only then can one master the essence of the art.
